Brothers William and Edgar Correa own Finca Los Abuelos and Finca Villa Bernarda, neighboring farms in the town of Jerico in the Department of Antioquia, Andino Region, Colombia. William and Edgar are fifth generation coffee farmers who inherited their farms from their parents. The brothers make a great team, assisting one another with production and administrative duties while each owning their respective farms. For the first time this year, the brothers combined coffee from their two farms producing a 25 bag lot of Los Hermanos for Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders. This single-origin microlot coffee contains a single variety known locally as Dos Mil, a hybrid developed by the Colombian Coffee Federation and known for its complex acidity. Vibrant, aromatic, complex and processed through the washed method.

The Colombian Coffee Federation’s research and development department developed a leaf rust resistant coffee hybrid for Colombian farmers called COLOMBIA that was improved upon for several years. The last improvement to the COLOMBIA hybrid was Dos Mil.

Experience a sweet aroma of sugar and baking spices. A bright and slightly tart cherry-like acidity balanced by milk chocolate sweetness and subtle notes of baking spices and strawberries. Silky body and lingering sweet finish.

Coffee cherry is pulped, fermented for 16 hours, washed and sorted to remove underipe beans, and sun dried on patios and African style raised beds to create a vibrant, sweet, and clean cup.
